Summer smart - light fabrics like linen, silk, or cotton. Think colorful lightweight mini and midi dresses, flowy maxi dresses, elegant jumpsuits, breathable button-downs and trousers.
Flat shoes or low heels are a good idea (gravel paths!), and a light layer is always worth having.

Not sure what to wear?
Summer formal - maxi dresses, flowing silk or chiffon gowns, tailored jumpsuits, and elegant, lightweight suits. Remember that August in Italy calls for breathable fabrics and a touch of colour.
Feel free to wear your most beloved shoes, heels included. Just a heads up that the ceremony and part of the reception will be on grass.
